Pick a map you own in OMSI 2 and start an operator from nothing. Buy buses, hire drivers, win lines, plan every duty and drive the ones you want yourself. The rest of your company keeps running around you.
A name, a short name, your colours and a logo. Then your home map, its depot, the first day and the game mode. You can run several companies.
Every bus you have installed stands in the dealer's showroom. Haggle, pick extras and wait for delivery, or find a used one by age and km. Buy, lease or rent.
Bid for the map's lines in tenders against rival operators, or draw lines of your own in the line editor. Each line has its own fare.
Decide who drives what, then drive your own duties in the game exactly as planned. Your other buses run the timetable on the map.
One choice per company. Change it any time in the company's settings.
A simple screen of its own: Today, Drive a shift, four tiles and tips. The company plans itself.
The full company with hints along the way. You step in when you want to.
The full company, compact. Every plan and every repair is yours.
Midibuses to double-deckers, sorted from their own files. Every bus has its condition, wear, km, value, liveries and adverts.
Drivers, mechanics, cleaners, ticket inspectors and more, each with a job market of their own. Wages by experience, stress, sick days and a holiday planner.
A driver only drives the bus types they are trained for. Courses in punctuality, eco driving and customer service make them better.
At most 9½ hours a duty and 10 a working day, 20 minutes between pieces of work and 11 hours of rest overnight. Agency drivers fill the gaps.
Tenders with rival bidders decide who runs a line, for a set term. Draw your own lines too, with circular routes, and see what they cost and bring before you pay.
Fares, concession fees and contracts come in. Wages, fuel, maintenance, insurance, the depot and leases go out. Monthly books, and banks lend against your fleet.
A yard with a capacity, a workshop with jobs, repairs and services, and a store of spare parts. Wear and age break buses down, maintenance keeps them going.
Levels unlock features, trophies buy research and bigger bus sizes, and advertisers pay for the rear, the sides or a full wrap. Contracts and goals bring rewards.
Your company has its own clock. Let time run, jump an hour or to tomorrow, or follow the real clock: a long absence is caught up, up to 31 days.
Professional planning software, inside the game. The way real operators build a timetable, chain trips into bus blocks, cut them into driver duties and give each duty a name. Optional in Normal and Realistic.
A line's running times per time band, and its timetable grid with the trips made by headway. Your hand edits show in orange until you refresh.
Trips chained into blocks: one bus's day. Arrow chips in the line's colour, depot boxes and empty runs. Drag a trip and star-rated drop zones show what each place costs.
Blocks cut into duties: one driver's working day, cut only at a terminus or the depot. Join, split, build by hand and lock, with the working-time rules checked as you go.
Which named driver drives which duty on which day. The day switcher marks the days with agenda entries, and Copy to repeats the rows you tick on another day, with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V too.
The duty opens exactly as planned: the date, the sign-on time, the line, the trips, the bus, the depot and the map. If anything blocks it, you see why and go back to the planning.
